If you live, work or operate a business in Barrie, Ontario you have a great opportunity to improve your city!

This is the final year of a 10 year, 2 million dollar investment by Molson, to help finance improvements in the community where they once operated a plant. Past ventures include financial assistance for projects affecting the local environment, parks, sports, arts and healthcare.

A whopping $200,000 is currently available for your community improvement ideas, take a look at the program criteria, consider the types of projects funded and submit your application. Contact Tonia Hammer (Molson’s awesome Community Relations Rep) by email: tonia.hammer@molson.com or catch up with her on Twitter: ToniaHammer to ask questions. Applications must be submitted by February 15, 2009.

Molson also operates the Donation Fund which is available to all communities across Canada. The company donates 1% of it’s pre-tax profits to this fund – a philanthropic reason to enjoy your beer!

Another in a great series of commercials by Molson Canadian where a Canadian responds to being teased with Canadian stereotypes in a bar.

One of Canada’s most memorable advertising campaigns, the I Am Canadian Rant by an “average Joe” spawned an outward expression of Canadian pride. The commercial poked fun at inaccurate Canadian stereotypes while assertively representing the Canadian pride that many Canadians humbly carry.
